The woman, Chelsea, was one of a boatload of people who went on a whale watching trip off the coast of Baja California in Mexico over the weekend. The footage shows the boat get very close to the whale, who was splashing near the surface of the water. Unexpected twist: A whale watching trip went awry when the whale breached near the boat and slapped a woman, Chelsea, in the head with its tail. At one point the whale's tail careens out of the water and slaps the boat, hitting the woman who looks visibly shocked.
